Question: Do you have information that clearly describes the vasocongestion of the face during arousal? The flushing of the lips, cheeks, and eyes?

Answer: On page 66 of the book Masters and Johns on Sex and Human Loving, it states:

"Late in the excitement phase or early in the plateau phase, a reddish, spotty skin color change resembling measles develops in 50-75% of women and one-fourth of men. This "sex flush" generally begins just below the breastbone in the upper region of the abdomen and then spreads rapidly over the front of the chest. It may also appear on other parts of the body, including the neck, buttocks, back, arms, legs, and face. The sex flush results from changes in the pattern of blood flow just below the surface of the skin."

To understand vasocongestion of the face it may be a good idea to research it from the point of view of body temperature regulation and dilation of the blood vessels of the skin during exercise rather than a purely sexual one.
